High-Range Water-Reducing Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer

High water reduction · Low dosage · Broad cement compatibility

Polycarboxylate Superplasticizers (PCE) Liquid Dosage: 0.15% – 0.40% by weight of binder (on solids)

Overview

This high-range PCE is copolymerized from HPEG / TPEG / EPEG polyether macromonomers and unsaturated carboxylic acids. It disperses cement particles through backbone adsorption combined with side-chain steric hindrance. Compared with naphthalene-based products it works at lower dosage with higher water reduction, and its molecular structure can be tailored on request.

Key benefits

  • High water reduction enables low w/b high-strength concrete (C50 and above)
  • Low dosage with minimal effect on setting time; balanced early and later strength
  • Chloride-free — no risk of rebar corrosion, suitable for reinforced and prestressed elements
  • Good compatibility with fly ash and GGBS

Application notes

Always run a cement compatibility test to determine the optimum dosage. Add by delayed or simultaneous addition with a minimum of 60 seconds mixing. Verify compatibility before combining with other admixtures, and never blend directly with naphthalene-based products.

Typical uses

Ready-mix concrete, high-strength concrete, pumped concrete, mass concrete and structures requiring high durability.

Typical applications

  • Ready-mix concrete
  • High-strength concrete C50+
  • Pumped concrete
  • Mass concrete
