Clay-Tolerant Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer
For high-clay aggregates · Keeps flow and retention
Overview
Montmorillonite-type clays in aggregates adsorb large amounts of polycarboxylate molecules, leaving less effective dispersant and causing rapid slump loss. This grade introduces anti-adsorption functional groups and a sacrificial agent that occupies the clay's active sites first, keeping the PCE available for cement dispersion.
Key benefits
- Maintains flowability and retention with high-clay manufactured sand
- Lowers total dosage, reducing bleeding and setting anomalies from overdosing
- Also improves performance with manufactured sand high in stone powder
- Easy to blend with standard PCE grades
Application notes
Please send an actual sand sample (with clay content and MB value) so we can set the anti-clay ratio. Above 7% clay content we recommend washing or grading adjustment as well.
Typical uses
Manufactured-sand concrete, regions with high-clay aggregates, plants facing fluctuating sand quality.
Typical applications
- Manufactured sand concrete
- High-clay aggregates
- Variable sand quality
