Slump-Retaining Polycarboxylate Superplasticizer
2-hour slump retention · Hot-weather friendly
Overview
Slump-retaining grades incorporate ester side chains that hydrolyse slowly in the alkaline pore solution, progressively releasing fresh dispersing groups to replace those consumed by cement hydration — which extends slump retention.
Key benefits
- Minimal 1–2 hour slump loss, ideal for long hauls and congested urban traffic
- Retention/reduction ratio adjustable to ambient temperature in hot seasons
- Compatible with fly ash and slag systems without aggravating bleeding
- Suitable for strength classes C30–C60
Application notes
Blend with the high-range mother liquor at a ratio of roughly 3:7 to 6:4, depending on transit time and temperature. In summer, combine with a retarder to further extend workability.
Typical uses
Long-distance ready-mix delivery, hot-weather concreting, continuous mass pours.
Typical applications
- Ready-mix concrete
- Hot weather concreting
- Long-distance transport
- Mass concrete
