Self-Compacting Concrete Admixture
High flow · Segregation resistant · Controlled viscosity
Overview
SCC must stay cohesive while flowing freely. This product combines a high-range backbone with a viscosity-modifying component to reach a state that flows readily but does not separate — filling formwork completely without vibration.
Key benefits
- Large, stable slump flow that passes through congested reinforcement
- Segregation and bleeding resistance; no sand streaks on the hardened surface
- Less vibration labour and noise, faster placement
- Freeze-thaw resistance can be raised further with an air entrainer
Application notes
Control aggregate grading and sand ratio — a sand ratio of 45–50% is recommended. Slump flow is sensitive to water content, so measure aggregate moisture carefully. Use together with a viscosity modifier or air entrainer as needed.
Typical uses
Congested reinforcement, concrete-filled steel tubes, thin-walled elements, strengthening layers, complex precast units.
Typical applications
- Self-compacting concrete
- Congested reinforcement
- Steel tube concrete
- Strengthening works
